Acropolis Museum Tour 23rd March 2011

Members of the Consular Corps in Greece visited the New Acropolis Museum on Wednesday, 23rd March 2011.
Consuls were welcomed by the President of the Museum, Professor Dimitrios Pandermalis.
In his introductory presentation Professor Pandermalis spoke about the Museum as well as about future initiatives.
During a guided tour leaded by a prominent archeologist, Consuls had the opportunity to see and learn about the history of renowned statues and other significant exhibits, which are part of the world heritage.
At the end of the tour, the President of the Consular Corps and Honorary Consul of Ethiopia in Greece, Mrs. Ekaterina Kalogeropoulos Armenakis spoke on behalf of all the visitors and relayed her warm greetings to Professor
Pandermalis and offered him a commemorative silver plaque styled by
Greek designer Stylia.

Following the visit, participating members of the Corps enjoyed a lunch at the Museum’s which offers a beautiful view of the Parthenon.
