Pitta Cutting

The Consular Corps in Greece founded in 1972, held its Annual Pita cutting on the 30th of January at the Piraeus Yacht Club.

His Eminence, the Archbishop of Axum Petros and representative of the Patriarchate of Alexandria and Africa, blessed the cake in accordance with a Greek custom.

Mrs. Terina Armenakis, Honorary Consul General of Ethiopia and President of the Consular Corps in Greece, offered a portion of the cake to each of the hundred participants namely Ambassadors, career Consuls, Hon Consuls and Officials.

Present were representatives of 52 countries, the Secretary General of the Ministry of National Economy Mr. Efstathopoulos, Mr. Ioannis Patsiavos International Relations Coordinator of SEV Hellenic Federation of Enterprises and journalists.

The splendid settings of the Yacht Club, with its view over the Athens coastline at night, greatly contributed to a memorable event.
