The Consular Corps in Greece held a lecture by the esteemed Professor Walter Puchner on "The Greek folk culture: the magical different" as part of its series of diverse events for its members and friends.

Professor Puchner captivated his audience with his lecture, and to use his words "In the world, nothing is accidental, and everything has a place," and they were obviously in the right place.

The event took place at the Centre of Hellenic Tradition in Monastiraki, its President Panagiotis Gerolymatos explained to his guests that the whole building has been dedicated to Greek traditions by hosting handicrafts, ceramics, weavings, sheep bells, wood carvings, prints and old paintings.

The building has a fully equipped conference center and a magnificent terrace which can host events with breathtaking views of the Acropolis.

There is also a typical Greek 'kafeneio' where one can enjoy Greek coffee and ouzo accompanied by Greek specialties.
